Well first time to USA!
Fly Friday 13th......great! Thats a good start!
2 families 5 kids, 6,7,8,14 & 14 and 4 adults
Staying just off International Drive, Quality Suites, Canada Avenue
14 day passes for Disney
Tips, places to eat in the evening, other places to go besides Disney, where to shop, you name it, we need to know!
For Disney we will take snacks and drinks with us, we don't have huge budgets, but we want to have a good time, and for the kids to enjoy themselves
Looking forward to all the advice
Thanks |

We always try to budget when visiting the parks. We will buy a crate of bottled water in Walmart or Walgreens for $4-5 for 24 bottles. This is much cheaper than $2.50 per bottle inside the parks.
We also packed a small cool bag to carry the water in along with a few small snacks.
As for eating out, there are just so many places you can visit.
With the kids I would suggest some of the buffet meals such as Golden Corral. We love it here, and it means there should be something even for the pickiest eater.
Check out some of the other threads on shopping and eating out, and as always if you have any questions just ask.
We will put our trip report on this weekend, which might give you a few idesa, and we will try to write up about the new shops and places to eat that we tried. _________________ Craig

The Lake Buenaventura Factory outlets (includes a Disney outlet store) are always a fun stop for shopping ... and the Osceola Farmer's Market (huge flea market)... _________________ Make a Wish, Take a Chance...

Now that conjures up a very strange mental picture! Beer + beans = Michelle keeping Jim out of the bedroom with the gun, is that right?? _________________ Check out my Florida vacation home at : http://www.thebigcondolist.com/28.php |

Crazy golf - a choice of 'courses' to play...
Shopping...
Eating...
Cinema at Festival Bay shopping Mall
Dodging the traffic as you try to cross the road...
Plenty of things to keep you amused, although, as you say - you'll probably be too tired to do too much in the evenings... _________________ feathersonline

Absolutely LOADS to do on International Drive. There's a tram service which will ferry you about on I- Drive.
Lots of great restaurants.
Ripleys (amazing interactive exhibition....for all ages)
Wet & Wild ......(super water park)
Pointe Orlando.....(shops and restaurants)
Titanic exhibition......(er.....exhibition about the Titanic!! )
Hundreds of small shops and designer outlet stores.
Air parachute feature
Festival Bay & Beltz (Shopping Malls)
A few to be going on with! I'm sure the others will suggest a few more. _________________ Kevin |
