I have often thought this myself Karen! so I asked my husband Steve (who does play golf - I just drive the buggy!) to write about the courses that he has played locally...
He says he will - as soon as January is over (busy month for an accountant - all those self-assessment thingys due in....!! ) _________________ Les

The miniature golf has been on our "to do" lists for a few years now but we have never got around to it yet! There looks to be a good one just along the road from Walmart on the 192 (past Medievil Times). Really must make the effort in May.
My brother-in-law who lives in Orlando plays golf regularly. I'll ask him
for some suggestions for good courses too. _________________ Kevin |

Funny thing about that crazy golf Kev - we've been much the same as yourselves in that we've always looked at it, always threatened to do it - yet never have!!!
The friend we are going over with in April will be up for crazy golf rather than the 'real thing' - so I will suggest this goes on our 'must-do' list and will report back!

Aha!!
Did the mini golf by Formosa Gardens for a laugh one evening. that is about the level of my golfing ability.
It was actually a laugh, and as the sun sank down was quite pleasant. And I won!!
Will golf properly if someone invites me!

We always make time for a round (or two) of Mini (Crazy) Golf each trip. We also try to do a different one each time... _________________ feathersonline

Last time we went we played at the Bonanza Golf at our end of the 192 - had a great view of Everest at Animal Kingdom from there...
We wouldn't recommend any particular one, as they're all good with the different themes... Just remember to cut out a coupon (chosen at random, as there's so many to choose) from the free books everyone picks up and get money off your game(s)... _________________ feathersonline

There's one just along the 192 from us (Nr Walmart / Med. World) so we thought about trying that one. I think the theme is Pirates. Have you ever been to that one? _________________ Kevin |

We've been to one up there, but I don't think was the pirates one - can't for the life of me remember which one it was though.. Yet another senior moment (and i'm only 22!! - I wish). _________________ feathersonline

Where are the Disney ones located Karen. Can anybody use them or do you need to be a guest at Disney? _________________ Kevin |

I can't believe you are talking about knocking a golf ball through a windmill with so many top class golf courses nearby.
I have a home on Southern Dunes which is rated as the 6th best course you can play in Florida. For less than £25 including your buggy it is for nothing.
Just up the road there is Championsgate with a national and international courses, Orange County. Falcons Fire, Highlands Reserve, St Cloud, Kissimmee,Blackbear, Diamondback etc etc etc.
This really is one of the premier golf areas of the world.
I play alot of golf both home and abroad and look forward to teeing off in Florida more than anywhere else I have played. _________________ Anthony
